It's important as an artist to get out and explore the world, and I was very lucky recently to have an amazing adventure with family. I visited Iceland, Scotland, and England where I saw epic scenery, breathed fresh volcanic air, went down inside a glacier, learned quite a bit about Scottland's history, and revisited London for the first time since I was a kid. It was great to get out of LA and process some changes in my personal life.
Space is hard to come by in Los Angeles so we have been rehearsing in four different spaces, one of which is the Ventura Improv Company space in Ventura, CA. It's been a bit of a drive but the carpools on Sunday mornings have been a bonding experiences full of caffeine and giggles. Today is our last rehearsal in this space and it's a beautiful day for it. Oh and Sarah and I accidentally dressed identically.
We had one actor injur his back but Eric Olsson has stepped in and we are knee deep in rehearsals! These plays are wordy to say the least and even just the memorizing has all our brains in a knot. But we are having so much fun and putting in long hours doing what we love! Here's a picture of all the actors listening intently to director Jeff Meek.
